Internship programme
Institute of Aquaculture postgraduate students now have the opportunity take part in our Internship Programme. This provides our graduates with a chance to travel and gain valuable work experience with renowned and respected overseas organisations.
The usual Internship format is a 3-6 month attachment with a host organisation during which time the intern receives a living allowance in exchange for an employment opportunity. Some Internships are for a longer attachment period, and some may include relocation expenses and accommodation. As internships are attcahed to active projects, their availability is intermittent. Watch this spece for upcoming opportunities.
As opportunities arise, interested persons are encouraged to submit a one page proposal in response to specific internship opportunities. Interns are required to meet the requirements of the host organisation (which may vary but will be stipulated when posted) and to provide a multimedia report of their experience at the end of the attachment to be published on the Institute of Aquaculture website and a summary included in Aquaculture News. Internship reports will provide an opportunity for participants to show skills gained while on the internship and employers will be encouraged to view these reports to identify potential employees.
