I graduated BSc.degree on Aquaculture of Fisheries University/Vietnam in 1998, and then I have been assigned to work in the aquaculture socio-economic group of Department of Environment & Fisheries Resources belonging to Research Institute for Aquaculture No.2 (RIA2) since 2008. I have worked in the field of aquaculture socio-economic analysis and fisheries assessment for 5 years. At that time, I has also participated in the international project namely “Assessment of Mekong Fisheries Project” funded by Fisheries Programme/MRC as a key staff of the socio-economic, development and management aspects. In 2004, I got a  scholarship of Norweigian Ministry of Education and Training in order to participate MSc course on International Fisheries Management in the University of Tromso. In 2006, I completed the MSc degree and came back to work for my Institute (RIA2). Up to now, I have researched mainly on fisheries planning and management aspects in RIA2. From 2008, I am head of Department of Inland Fisheries Resources and Capture/RIA2, and also National Director Component: “Strengthening of participatory water management in Soc Trang Province, Viet Nam/FMG-VN project/FP/MRCs” funded by MRC (2005-2010). Besides, I am a key national officer of project “Development of Better Management Practices (BMPs) for Catfish farming in the Mekong Delta” funded by Australian Government (2008-2010), and project “Better Management Practices (BMPs) for intensive shrimp farming in the Mekong Delta”  funded by Oost Vlaanderen province/Belgium (2008-2010).
